Fine Early Autograph letter signed in full to "My dear Elizabeth" saying that "Caroline Dawson is to give you ... a shawl which I hope may prove useful to you. I cannot let them go without expressing to you in both the Prince's & my ... how sincerely we wish that you may be very very happy during a long life ... I hope that your marriage may be as happy as ours is ... though this I think, impossible. I much regret losing you and shall think with pleasure of the time when you were with us ..." with a postscript hoping she will keep in touch and that they may see her "if you come to London ... or at Edinburgh perhaps ...", 4 sides 8vo., on beautifully monogrammed notepaper with her initials in gold, Windsor Castle, 11th November
