Letter signed"Charlotte" to "Madame" saying that "a hint you gave last Thursday of intending to return next month to Scotland makes me fearful that you will but too soon put this intention into execution. Do not I pray you, my dear Dutchess think me vain when I flatter myself to persuade you of staying in this part of the world until Our Ball at Windsor after the thanksgiving is over where I wish to see your two amiable Daughters. I need not say any more but assure you that you will greatly oblige me by fulfilling my wishes ...", 1 side 8vo., no place, no date

When Charlotte and George were first married St James's Palace was the official residence of the Royal couple, but The King had recently purchased a nearby property, Buckingham House. In 1762 The King and Queen moved into this new house, making it Buckingham Palace. Charlotte loved it - 14 of her children were born there and it came to be known as 'The Queen's House'.
