Collection of three Unsigned silver gelatin cabinet photos the first by James Valentine & Sons, showing seated in a sabre leg chair with his granddaughter at his knee, Hawarden, circa 1897, the next of his wife Catherine by H. S. Mendelsshon showing her head and shoulders, leaning her head on her hand and looking thoughtful, annotated by Mary Drew underneath "Mrs Gladstone" and on the verso "for Mrs Day, 1895", and the third by G. Watwough Webster showing Mary with her daughter as an infant in a lacy dress, annotated underneath "Mary Drew, Dossie" and on the verso, "For Mrs Day from Mrs Drew, 1895", each 6½" x 4½",

James VALENTINE (1815-1879) was a Scottish photographer. Valentine's of Dundee produced Scottish topographical views from the 1860s, and later became internationally famous as the producers of picture postcards.
Hayman Seleg MENDELSSOHN (1847-1908) was born in Germany and spent his youth in Poland before fleeing to England and beginning his photographic career.
G. Watmough WEBSTER was a photographer and miniature painter active about 1872-1890 in Chester.
