[NICHOLAS II (1868-1918, Tsar of Russia from 1894, Assasinated after the Revolution) & his son the Tsarevitch ALEXEI (1904-1918)

Taken when they were together on their tour of the western front The tsar took his son to remove him from the cloying feminine influence of the Empress and their daughters. In the private letters of Nicholas the close relationship between father and son is very evident and quite touching.
