6 Typed Letter Signed to Harold Chipp of the Cheltenham Gramophone Society, offering to lecture on 9th October, on G & S or Britten, he is now assistant editor of 'Opera' (6th May 1961), " 'A new look at Gilbert & Sullivan' will certainly allude to the expiry of copyright ... next year'", Jacobs wrote the book on G & S (1951) and the sleeve notes for Sargent's recordings (23rd May 1961), interested that Chipp had bought the Lotte Lehman record (27th June 1961), hoping he has stereo available (3rd October 1961), "It was a pleasure to receive such keen questions" (11th October 1961), "As for Act 2" of "Die Walküre at Covent Garden ... the actual stage business was even more comic than your friend perhaps realises ...
