Commander of the Port at La Maddalena, Sardinia, in Italian with translation, saying "It gives me the greatest pleasure to receive your further pieces of news - The Admiral sends a thousand regards to Signor Millelire ... and begs him to come and dine tomorrow - provided that the wind moderates enough, the Barge will be ordered at the usual time of half past one o'clock", he also thanks Millelire on Nelson's behalf "for the Riscotti", and adds "You do not inform me about the Signora's health, nor about the Signorina's - is there a reason? ", light blue paper with watermarks of a crescent moon and a shell, 1 side 4to and address on conjugate leaf, Victory, [at La Maddalena], 12th May

His Excellency is most deeply grieved that given the time that has gone by since the event, it is not possible to find the culprit, he hopes that it was occasioned more by ignorance than malevolence", and asking Millelire "to convey the above to Signor Don Giuseppe Pez", 1 side folio and conjugate blank, On board 'Victory', no place but La Maddalena, 28th March

Commander of the Port at La Maddalena, Sardinia, in Italian with translation, asking him on Nelson's behalf "to ensure the enclosed packet [not present] reaches its destination", he gives further news "of the misfortune", of which he first heard yesterday evening, "the officer's arm has been amputated in the bone at the shoulder - he was also wounded in the chest", at this instant Scott is "expecting the officer of the detachment mentioned", he sends "A thousand thanks from His Excellency for the Butter and the She-Goat - I must absolutely pay you the value of the goat" but has "time only to aver myself your most devoted servant", with a P.S. saying "I am ashamed to have written so carelessly", 2 sides 4to., address on conjugate leaf, [La Maddalena], no date, circa
