We were married in the 1914-18 War & had no celebration & the same happened again for the Silver one in the last War ... Unfortunately Christine has been ordered to rest ...You, I take it, are heading for a Diamond Jubilee ... I often think of the old days at Bigwood and have been in touch with Bill & Honor lately. How kind ... I can only think of my birthday which is on April 11th", he was interested to see "you had got into your new quarters at Little Baddow", 'flu in the New Year "affected my arthritis ... I lost weight & seem to be walking on bare bones!", they are expecting "a visit from our mutual old friends Enid & Francis Leveton ... Bill's sister", so they may celebrate then, "Can you still do any painting?", and recalling "those delightful days at Bigwood", ending "Be assured of our warm regards and affection.
