(1924-2014, Writer best known for her Pony Books) saying “bless you for a really wonderful letter about Nicolette and her great qualities and her happiness with me, (I too was immensely happy). You help me to cope with the difficult phase of having to accept that she is no longer here and that I must get on with life without her. I’m so glad that her friends at P.E.N. talk about her a great deal. P.E.N. meant an awful lot to Nicolette. She had never before been really part of a society not assisted in any co-operative activity. P.E.N. gave her a lot of enjoyment and a sense of support & security... It was lovely that P.E.N. sent flowers... I’m sorry you weren’t able to be there - wonderful singing and Sally (Graves) Chilver gave a very good address...”, 2 sides A4, 68 Limerston Street, SW10 0HJ, 1st June
