Fine Engraving of his Chapel in Westminster Abbey by George VERTUE
(1684-1756) after Hubert-François GRAVELOT (1699-1773), with the tomb visible through the grill, above and to the side are 10 large statues of Kings, Queens, Apostles and Bishops and 4 smaller ones among the Gothic tracery, the sides, each with its door for a chantry priest, are continued upwards into galleried turrets with further statues, a most elaborate conception, above are Henry V's arms (quarterly France and England), below is the title in a splendid rococo shell, 15½" x 9", no place, no date, the original circa 1740, apparently a later impression as suggested by the date pencilled on the verso
tiny defects in blank top corners, tiny hole in one letter of second title at foot, otherwise a good impression
