Group of 9 informal photographs taken on board the Royal Yacht
'Victoria & Albert', showing her in a white dress and straw hat, (3" x 1¾"), also with the young Princesses Margaret & Patricia of Connaught wearing sailor suits, and 5 groups of the ladies and officers aboard, (about 40 in all), notable among the latter are General Sir Charles Keyes, 1822-1896, and his three sons, of whom Roger Keyes, (1872-1945, the famous Admiral and 1st Baron, Naval ADC to the Queen 1895-1898), had already served in the anti-slaving patrols in East Africa, with names added below, many attractive details of the yacht's furnishings, these other photos approximately 5¾" x 4", laid down on 2 sides album card 14" x 10¼", Cowes, Isle of Wight, 1st - 17th August
the card a little browned in places, likewise three of the photos, one phot odefective in one blank corner of image, but a most engaging collection
