Dr. Yorke Davies' books include 'Foods for the Fat', 1889, and 'Wine and Health: How to Enjoy Both', 1909. Sampson Low published his 'Health and Condition in the Active and Sedentary', 1894, followed by many cheap editions. He also wrote about soldiers' diet during the South African War.
