FARJEON (Joseph Jefferson, 1883-1955, Detective Novelist and Playwright)

Autograph picture postcard signed to Eileen Cond, recalling Sidmouth "of 30 years ago", and adding "Am I pleased with 'Perils of the Pyrenees'? Well, I am with the way it is selling. The King included it among the books he took with him to South Africa!", with on the verso a view of Ditchling Beacon and Village, Ditchling, Sussex, 16th April

Farjeon was an editor for Amalgamated Press, 1910-1920, and, besides his books, contributed to many journals, including 'Punch' as 'Smith Minor'.
