Portrait engraved by Ridley, head and shoulders, oval 4¼" x 3¼", overall 8" x 5¼", published by Bunney & Gold, London, 1st June tiny adhesion below end of one eyebrow

Kempenfelt served in the East Indies and India during the Seven Years' War, and again against France during the American war, but went down with the Royal George, 29th August 1782. His changes to signalling were adopted and further improved by Lord Howe.
