Kneller", partly printed and completed by hand, being a receipt for £88, the interest on a loan to the crown of £1,100, "Recevied then by me Sr Goodfre [sic] Kneller assigne of Edward Russell and of Richard Earle of Ranelagh ... the Sum of Eighty Eight pounds being for 12 Months Interest of Eleven Hundred pounds due the 5 Day of may 1707 and by him Lent unto Her Majesty upon the Credit of an Act of Parliament, (Enituled, An Act for Granting an Aid of first 3 Shillings in the Pound for carrying on the War against France and Spain). ...", 1 side folio, 15th September small piece missing from top edge not affecting the text

Kneller was the leading portrait painter in England during the late 17th and early 18th centuries, and was court painter to British monarchs from Charles II to George I.
