PHILIP III (1578-1621, King of Spain 1598-1621)

Fine Document in Spanish, signed as King 'Yo El Rey' addressed to Hernando Ganoguera, Captain General of the Kingdom of Mallorca, requesting from his correspondent an updated list of the Royal offices existing in the Kingdom of Mallorca, he says "with this is sent to you the balance of the services of the people that have asked me to give them an answer about the gateways of the villages of Andraig, Calbria, Purpunient, y Marrachy, that appears according to what's being said because of the death of Baltasar Simon, I ask you and command you to go and see them particularly, and inform yourself about who's the owner of each gateway and who's watching/representing each of them, you will also advisee me about the person who will protect them, and if there are other people offering to do this job. Also with the value of each one per year and the duties and tasks they have, so you can choose of those you like the most, and also because in the balance you sent of the duties and rights of this Kingdom, and its value, you didn't explain the value of the rights and duties of the tasks and particularly of the escrivanias and gateways, you will have the order, after receiving this –letter- to make another particular balance about all the duties of the King without missing any detail about each one's salary and the value of the rights of those who don't have salary ...", with several countersignatures, including the King's secretary Villanueva, 1 side folio with papered seal, Valladolid, 13th January
