PUCCINI (Giacomo, 1858-1924, Italian Composer of 'Tosca' and 'Bohème')

Fine Autograph Letter Signed in full in Italian with translation to an unnamed correspondent saying " it is impossible for me to go to Florence. I do apologise. I will find the piano somewhere else in Lucca by putting in charge Vandini, to whom I will write immediately. What special piano! Who said that? I need a good piano, a walnut one, but nothing special ...", 2 sides 8vo., no place, no date, two unevenly torn filing holes touching a couple of letters

Caro [ poss. Cosmo/Cireso/Cug.o per cugino]
Iersera scrissi.
Ora ricevo percui, riapro, e riscrivo.
Dunque, impossibile io vada a Firenze. Duolmene.
Puccini
Dear [prob. Cosmo/Cireso or abbr. for cousin]
Yesterday evening I wrote.
I receive now [message from a previous correspondence?] so, I'll open again, and rewrite.
Well then, it is impossible for me to go to Florence. I do apologize. I will find the piano somewhere else in Lucca by putting in charge Vandini, to whom I will write immediately. What special piano! Who said that?
I need a good piano, a walnut one, but nothing special.
Best wishes and again my apologies
Puccini
