[LABRADOR (Pedro Gómez, 1755-1852, Spanish Diplomat, Marqués de)]

Letter to him, in French with translation, signed by Lozano & Lavaggi, Bankers at Rome, saying that "Caballero Don Paulino Ramírez De la Piscina [Secretary at the Spanish Embassy in Rome] having just given us the order to place at your disposal, Monsieur le Marquis, the value of Two Thousand and Sixty Three Pounds sterling", they are opening "by today's post Credit in Your Excellency's favour for the sum of 51825 Francs ... payable at Monsieur Joseph Gabriel Caccia, Banker at Paris ... without deduction", and asking him to provide receipts for "the payments he makes at your request", address on conjugate leaf, 2 sides 10¼" x 8", Rome, 30th June light defects in two places at a fold touching a few letters (easily legible)

The Marquis represented Spain at the Congress of Vienna, 1814-1815, where he was remarkably unsuccessful. He was previously Minister Plenipotentiary to the Papal States and to Napoleon's kingdom of Etruria at Florence.
