of all my Eight Bills and Interest in this order [not present] & the Tally thereto belonging, witnessed by J Fox and Samuel Cook, the order referring to a loan to the Exchequer of £300 in 1710, below are extracts from the Exchequer Records (with copy signatures of Tellers Mr Smith and Lord William Powlett) giving the interest paid at £4 10s per quarter Out of Candles, that is, the tax on Candles, or Out of the 16th 4 s[hilling] Ayd to the King, due on three separate dates March 1714 - June 1716, title on verso Candles 1710 £300 with a note of £28 6s 7d interest outstanding, 1 side 5¼ x 9¼, no place, 31st December
