thanking him for asking Elizabeth and me to come & listen to music by the river... sch a lovely idea and I do wish we could be with you. Background
Hodson was a friend and great admirer of Max Beerbohm, and cites other influences as being William Blake and Phil May. He draws with a flamboyant, minimal line and owns pug dogs which often feature in his cartoons.
