agent for the Ormonde estates at Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, acknowledging a remittance for £600 to be placed to the account of Lady Eleanor Butler, (1788-1859, daughter of John, 1740-1795, 17th Earl of Ormonde), adding that the writer, our C. Turner from Naples, is very anxious... (& has her full authority to say so) that her trustees should be solicited to pay her Q[uar]terly allowance as punctually as possible... the arrears or delays are very disagreeable for her, 1 side 4to., address, postmarks and '1d red' on verso, London, 20th August

Background
Lady Eleanor married Cornelius O'Callaghan, 1775-1857, 1st Viscount Lismore, on 11th August 1808 but was divorced by Act of Parliament in 1826, and went to live at Sorrento. The Castlecomer estates, which included a colliery, came into the family from Lady Eleanor's mother Anne, sole heir of the Earl of Wandesford.
