Autograph letter signed, in French with translation,
to her (female) cousin, saying I cannot tell you how touched I was by your kind letter, dated 12th June from Trieste, and... your sympathy in the cruel loss we have just suffered!, the death of her father on 30th April, You have, alas, undergone the same misfortune a few years ago... The blow... was utterly unexpected, as on the very morning letters had reassured me of my dear and adored Papa's health. Seeing my brothers and my sister again has been... a true ray of consolation but it has meant not staying on at Trieste and seeing her, Thank you for... asking after the children., she hopes her cousin can get to Naples some day for the pleasure of seeing you again and introducing them all to you, 3 sides 8vo black-edged, Palermo, 2nd July
