Miss Montgomery was the daughter of Admiral Sir Leslie Montgomery, 3rd. Bart, 1807-1888. The book mentioned may be 'The Town Crier, to which is added, The Children with the Indian Rubber Ball', 1874. In 1913 she published Behind the Scenes in the Schoolroom: Being the Experiences of a Young Governess.
