I should have blamed myself greatly had I taken advantage of your kindness... my proposed trip does not at all matter (28th May 1881), Please come... in your most comfortable clothes - I don't care a bit about a frock coat ('Wednesday morning'), returning photographs with many apologies. I trust you are well and jolly as when I last saw you...
