Background
With an old pencilled note in French 'Daughter of the Duchess of Berry'. Her father, Charles X's heir, was assassinated at the Paris Opera House in 1820, and she was brought up at the Château de Chambord, given by the nation. From the Bibliotheca Lindesiana, no. 2524.
