Background
The future King begins his autograph subscription with the old formula E.L., standing for Eure Liebden, literally Your Belovedness, used only between royals or independent princes. In this respect it is like Dear Cousin, here Vetter. Eure Liebden is also in the text as Ew: Lid:. He also writes Cuhrfürst for Elector, instead of the usual spelling Churfürst found in the main text.
