Background
This is an extremely rare postcard as Paul was murdered during the Revolution and so, more interestingly, was his son Vladimir, who died with Grand Duchess Elisabeth, by being thrown down a mineshaft. Princess Paley went on to write her memoirs and her daughter Irina married Feodor, son of Grand Duchess Xenia in 1923.
