Background
Grand Duke Sergei was assassinated in the rising of 1905. His wife Elisabeth of Hesse was the elder sister of the Tsarina, founded a nursing order. She was murdered by the Bolsheviks at Alapaievsk in 1918 and was canonized in 1991. A very rare image of the fourth son of Emperor Alexander II
