Background
It is very hard to find photos of this member of the Royal family. Augusta was the grandmother of the future Queen Mary who had always admired the old Duchess, but Mary had a lifelong horror of illness because of the stroke that the Duchess suffered in the 1870s which left her an invalid. She was buried at Kew Church but in 1929 Queen Mary had her removed to Frogmore.
