Background
Red Rice House, near Andover in Hampshire, was used by the military during World War II and was visited by Eisenhower in the run-up to D-Day. After the war it became home to Redrice School and Eisenhower again visited when he was in England for the funeral of Sir Winston Churchill in 1965, presenting the current photograph to the school.
