Background
Alexander von Schleinitz was the Foreign Minister of Prussia from 1858 to 1861 and minister for the Royal household from late 1861 to his death. Adolf Heinrich von Arnim (1803-1868) Prussian Diplomat. He served as the first Minister President of Prussia for ten days during the Revolution of 1848. During the Revolutions of 1848 in Germany, Ludolf Camphausen stepped suddenly from his banker's desk at Cologne to the presidential chair of the Ministry of State at Berlin, being called by King Frederick William IV to succeed Count Arnim-Boitzenburg as Prime Minister, on 29th March. Camphausen would resign on 20th June 1848, the day after this letter was written.
