Background
She began her stage career in 1908, when she was engaged by the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. Here she appeared till 1910. The same year she sang there in the premiere of the opera ''Eros le Vainqueur'' of Pierre de Bréville. Afterwards she appeared in different theaters of the French province and in the 1916-1928 seasons she was a member of the Opéra de Lyon. Her repertoire included Gilda in ''Rigoletto'', Violetta in ''Traviata'', Marguerite de Valois in ''Huguenots'', Juliette in ''Roméo et Juliette'', Lakmé and Manon.Mignon is an opéra comique (or opera in its second version) in three acts by Ambroise Thomas. The original French libretto was by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré, based on Goethe's novel Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre.
