SMITH
(Cyril James,1909-1974, Virtuoso concert Pianist)
Typed letter signed with autograph salutation to Havelock NELSON
(1917-1996, Irish Composer and Conductor) saying how sorry he is that he didn't turn up and play with you at your last concert. I had such warm memories of our last meeting in Dublin and I was very irritated with myself for catching the infection. It was such a silly oillness... two days in bed and I was very quiickly on my feet again, but it did make it quite impossible for me to think of travelling... I hope you were not too angry... I am told that my old friend and pupil, Eric Harrison, enjoyed the trip..., 1 side 8vo., Oak Lodge, East Sheen, 15th February
