Background
The so called Grey Owl became famous as a conservationist in Canada, an original Apache Indian. It was later revealed, predominantly after his death, that he was in fact a Drinking, womanising rogue of northern Canada, he was known to have deserted two wives and a girlfriend along with a variety of children, and used to go on drinking binges for two to three weeks because he was insecure about his personal identity. Nevertheless, his followers never let this reputation negate his large influences on their lives and the lives of others concerned with the conservation of the native Apache Indians.
