Princess Patricia of Connaught was deeply loved by the British people for her natural ways. King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra profoundly wanted a marriage with Grand Duke Michael of Russia. The Princess resisted and was saved from the horrors of the Revolution and was to find happiness with a commoner. From the collection of Lady Patricia Ramsay, daughter of the Duke of Connaught.
