HICKS
(George Elgar, 1824-1914, Painter)
Fine Autograph Letter signed to W. H. ALLCHIN
(Sir William Henry, 1846-1912, Physician) saying that he will be of course speaking to any of the Academicians about the coming exhibition - your best way will be to write at once to the Secretary of the Academy who I suppose will make all the arrangements, saying that you are willing to contribute a valuable painting by Rembrandt and desiring to know when you are to send it in. This is a good opportunity of testing its originality. For the correspondence I shd not admit a doubt of its genuineness..., 2 sides 8vo., with the address of the secretary on the blank 3rd side, 36 Kensington Park Road, 26th November
Item Date: 1887
Background
