Background
Xenia was conceived by Prince Andrew and his future wife Elizabeth, out of wedlock, they were forced to marry by her parents while they were being held prisoner in the Crimea by the Bolsheviks. The Dowager Empress did attend but was horrified as the Prince was only 21. Andrew spent the war in London and Scotland and Xenia was in Paris so it was probably taken in France in the late 1930's.
