Fine Autograph Letter Signed to Miss Pamela [Rolfe]
saying that she couldn't have thought of a more acceptable gift for which my most grateful thanks, though I cannot imagine how you managed to get them. As you say, the weeds are awful & what makes it worse is that Arthur, the garden boy, has dislocated his shoulder & will be away a fortnight. I miss you both very much, at present there are only Sara & I and of course, the dogs. Mary Corderoy rang up this morning to say they are camping at Bramley so they are coming up for tea and a bath... I'd love to come to tea one day, so may I ring you up about that..., 2 sides oblong 8vo., Long Meadow, Longdown, headed paper, 23rd August
