ROSEBERY

(4th Earl, Archibald John Primrose, 1783-1868, Politician)
Fine Autograph Letter Signed to Mr Starkey
Saying that he is very much obliged to you for a letter which you wrote to Mrs Franks respecting a Colly puppy, & which she forwarded to us. The puppy of this sort, which I have been in search of is for the Queen; & I have therefore sent your letter to Lord Waterpark, who is now in waiting at Windsor, with a request that he will take the proper means for ascertaining whether it is H.M.'s pleasure to accept the one named in it. In order to save time, I have told Lord Waterpark to correspond directly with yourself..., 2 sides 8vo., Dalmeny Park, 24th October
