GENUINELY SIGNED CARD FOR THE QUEEN MOTHER'S 100TH BIRTHDAY
ELIZABETH
(The Queen Mother, 1900-2002, Queen of George VI)
Fine Christmas Card with shaky signature ('from Elizabeth R') and inscription
under the printed message of greeting, opposite a coloured photo of her in an open carriage with her grandson Prince Charles, on her 100th birthday, 7¼ x 9¼ folded ivory card with gold crest on the front, no place, the photo 4th August
The Queen Mother signed all her Christmas cards until she reached her nineties when she occasionally used either an autopen or a printed signature and this year normally has a printed signature. This is an exceptionally rare example from the Royal Household as it is not only signed but inscribed by the Queen Mother.
