Background
There is an identification at the bottom of the page in pencil that the letter was sent to Sewell STOKES (1902-1979, Novelist, Biographer, Playwright, Screenwriter, Broadcaster and Prison Visitor). Stokes interviewed Milne for his book Hear the Lions Roar (1931) and this letter suggests that they were in touch years earlier when Stokes was a young man.
