Please accept our really sincere condolences - we both feel sad, & can so understand what you must be going through. Background
Four of her brothers served in the army during World War I. Her elder brother Fergus, an officer in the Black Watch Regiment, was killed in action at the Battle of Loos in 1915. Later in the year of this letter the Duke and Duchess of York reluctantly ascended the throne on the abdication of Albert's elder brother Edward VIII.
