Background
The use of the coronet and initials N served to commemorate Nelson and his titles (1st Viscount Nelson and 1st Duke of Bronte). The symbol was also used as his Laundry Mark and is found stitched on his clothing.The note states that it comes from a small collection of relics held by the descendants of Lord Nelson's personal tailor.
