Parry is best known for the choral song Jerusalem, his 1902 setting for the coronation anthem I was glad, and the choral and orchestral ode Blest Pair of Sirens, and the hymn tune Repton, which sets the words Dear Lord and Father of Mankind. Blest Pair of Sirens is a work for choir and orchestra by setting John Milton's ode At a solemn Musick. It was first performed at St James's Hall, London on 17th May 1887, conducted by its dedicatee, Charles Villiers Stanford.
