After training at the Royal Academy of London, she studied under Theodor Leschetizky in Vienna. She made her London debut in 1987 and her American debut 1907 with the Boston Symphony. Goodson often performed with American violinist Maud Powell and toured extensively with Czech violinist Jan Kubelik. Remaining a formidable international presence throughout the 1920s and 1930s, she forged a longtime professional relationship with the conductor Sir Thomas Beecham which began in 1931.
