ROSS

(Sir George William, 1841-1914, Canadian Educator and Politician, Premier of Ontario)
Autograph Letter Signed to Sir Frederick YOUNG
(1817-1913, Traveller and writer on Imperial Affairs), acknowledging with pleasure the congratulations on the honour conferred upon me by His Majesty the King. I am glad to notice from the British press that you are still able to keep the Unity of the Empire before the public. You may rest assured that Ottawa feels her deepest interset & her highest duty are inseparably associated with the consolidation of the Empire. I know of no one who has been more loyal to this conception than yourself, and I hope before long to see your ideas realised..., 3 sides 8vo., 3 Elmsley Place, Toronto headed paper, 18th July
