Frederick Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava (1826-1902) was a Prominent Victorian Public Servant. Among other things he was Governor-General of India. Lyall's work - Life of the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava was published in 1905.
