Background
King George died of pneumonia at Windsor Castle on 29th January 1820, aged 81, six days after the death of his fourth son Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn. His favourite son, Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany, was with him. He lay in state for two days, and his funeral and interment took place on 16th February in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle Provenance: From a small collection of locks of Royal Hair.
