GEORGE
(Duke of Cambridge, 1819-1904, Grandson of George III, Commander in Chief of the Army)
Autograph letter signed to Lady ROSSLYN
(Blanche, 1839-1933, mother by her first marriage of 'darling Daisy', [Frances, Countess of Warwick, mistress of Edward VII]), assuring her how much I rejoice to hear, that the marriage of your nice son Loughborough with Miss Vyner is settled. He is decidely young to settle in life, but he is so nice a lad, that I feel assured he will make a good husband, and Miss Vyner is a charming girl... & a much Ladylike addition to the family she is about to enter. So I look forward to a very good ménage in the future, 2 sides 7 x 4½ black-edged, Gloucester House, Park Lane, 7th June
