Background
Selwyn was consecrated at Lambeth on 17th October 1841 and sailed for New Zealand on Boxing Day. With an early penny red stamp (introduced in February 1841), check letters QF. The 'Maltese Cross' cancellation is rather heavy in one angle, light elsewhere.
