Background
On Friday 23rd June, the day after the Coronation, the King and Queen made a Royal Progress to the City, leaving the Palace at 11 a.m. via Constitution Hill and Piccadilly, crossing to Pall Mall via St James's Street to Trafalgar Square, when viewers near Admiralty Arch will have heard the cheers. On their Majesties' return (via Southwark) they will have had a splendid view as the procession came through to The Mall.
